We were able to join some of the friends from our small group to celebrate a wedding this afternoon/evening. It was so refreshing to go to a wedding in the middle of November, as opposed to the busy summer wedding season. As I woke up this morning and thought about Matt and Lindsey preparing for their special day, it made me stop for a minute to reflect on all the thoughts and feelings I had two Novembers ago when Jordan and I were preparing for marriage. What a wonderful day we had! It makes me so happy to remember our special day because it truly was
a great day. As the pastor at today's wedding reminded me, the wedding day is only the beginning of the journey.... it's the beginning of the rest of our lives. After two years (almost), I'm still so thankful for the beautiful wedding ceremony that we had; however, it is also after these two wonderful years that I can appreciate, and be grateful, for an even more beautiful marriage. I am so thankful for my marriage to Jordan and I am thankful that God reminds me of how special our marriage is on random days and in random ways.
"Be devoted to one another
in love. Honor one another
above yourselves."
-Romans 12:10
