'...Plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' -Jeremiah 29:11
Well, here it is... 2013! This is an exciting time in our lives as it is set to be a big year for us. I can fondly remember spending some summer days back in 2006 writing out and counting the amount of years that were left until x,y and z would happen. Among these, was the year that Jordan would become a Doctor of Chiropractic. Hard to imagine that six or seven years have passed since I first began counting the days, weeks, months and years until we would both be 'done' with school. (I say 'done' because as we all know, we are never done learning... there is a great chance that one or both of us may continue our education again sometime in the future.)
Tomorrow I head back to work after a nice, long Christmas break. My husband heads out into the working world as well. He begins his internship off campus this January and will get a taste of what his future will be like as a DC. I hope, and pray, that this experience (as well as those that follow this one) is rewarding and educational. I know that he will be a fantastic practitioner and am excited to see him grow as a professional.
This will be a big year for us. Regardless of whatever else changes in this coming year, we will both be working (can't wait) and will be looking for a place to make our home as we discover what God has in store for us. It is exciting and nerve-racking to think about how much may change. It will be a time to trust in God and his provision with the strong belief that HIS plans far exceed those that we could make.
I pray that everyone had a blessed Christmas season with family and friends. I know that we were reminded of how thankful we are for our family after a great week at home with both sides. We were blessed to spend quality time with those that we love most dearly.
God Bless 2013!
-Today I'm thankful for a year of wonderful blessings...
and hopeful for a year with even more to blessings to be thankful for.
